To Pray or not to Pray?

Prayer and religion are a natural part of history in the United States. To exclude the teaching of prayer and the history of prayer from our public educational school system is borderline immoral.
If our schools and universities are teaching Philosophy, Theology, American History and Science, it should recognize that these all have roots in religion. Socrates said "The unexamined life is not worth living." The disciplines of Philosophy and religion examine our lives by investigating the most basic concepts and categories of our self understanding: true and false, right and wrong, real and imaginary, sacred and profane. (Quoted directly from Rollins College website http://www.rollins.edu/phil-rel/) Science is by far the most proving reason why prayer and religion have a place in public schools even Albert Einstein agreed when he said "Science without religion is lame; Religion without science is blind." Philosophers, Theologists and Scientists alike agree, even Joel Primack has a long and distinguished career as an Astrophysicist. A University of California, Santa Cruz, Professor, he co-developed the cold dark matter theory that seeks to explain the formation and structure of the universe. He also believes in God. In 1564 French Pilgrams came to America in search of religious freedom more than a half century before the Mayflower sailed and the Spanish wiped them out at Ft Caroline which would be present day Jacksonville Florida. (Direct excerpts from America's true history of religious tolerance) As a country, we are moving farther away from the principles and values in which this great country was founded and established upon. It is in God we trust! What better way to continue the true purpose of our nation that than to pray in school and learn openly of the true history of religion in our nation so that we may be better Christians and more tolerant humans that glorify God beyond all.
