How to get to heaven

I once heard a man say that he knows he is going to heaven because of all the good he has done in his life. Then he started to list all the community service he had done, money he had donated for various causes, sick and elderly people he had helped and on and on and on. What you do on Earth is not a prerequisite for how you get in heaven. In fact, no matter what you do, good or bad, there is only one action that guarantees your entry into heaven. According to the Bible if you accept Jesus as your savior and believe it with your whole heart that he died for all of our sins, then you will be saved.
